Welcome to the website of Mělnická zdravotní, a.s., operator of the private healthcare facility Nemocnice Mělník (Mělník Hospital), a member of the international Group Mediterra.

Nemocnice Mělník is the regional hospital for the Central Bohemian Region, serving a population of approximately 120,000. The hospital provides 24-hour acute care in the following fields: surgery, traumatology, orthopedics, internal medicine, gynecology and obstetrics, neonatology, neurology, infectious diseases, intensive care, ENT, rehabilitation, and long-term intensive nursing care.

The supraregional care provided by Mělník Hospital includes a neonatal intensive care unit and an infectious diseases department, which serves as a backup department for the Central Bohemian Region.

Non-medical activities – economic and technical activities related to the operation of medical activities, if their capacity is not temporarily used to perform their own tasks, including the rental of surplus non-residential premises and surgeries.

Healthcare activities

Provision of healthcare in the form of counseling, nursing, diagnostics, prevention, rehabilitation, treatment, and pharmacy services on an outpatient and inpatient basis, within the scope specified by the decision on the registration of a non-state healthcare facility issued by the Regional Authority of the Central Bohemian Region.
Provision of healthcare based on contracts with health insurance companies. Services that are not covered by these insurance companies and are considered “above standard” are listed in the price list.
Education and training of medical students, including postgraduate education based on accreditation by the Ministry of Health and on agreements, participation in the teaching of medical school students.
Organization of professional courses, training, and other educational events, including lecturing in the field of healthcare activities.
